PIKNIK SA PAMAYANAN 2022

On Saturday, September 10, 2022, AFIRE invited community members for an afternoon of food, music, art, and tsika tsikahan!

In Tagalog, "pamayanan" means "community" and "togetherness." Piknik sa Pamayanan is an outdoor social to honor and celebrate life, transitions, and the resiliency of our Fil-Am community.

 

Pan de Karaoke Mic was set up at the DJ booth and a Community Altar was set up near the resting area. Folks were encouraged to bring photos or items of loved ones who have transitioned out of this realm to honor and remember them in community.
